Nonfiction. Follows the storied career of a Renaissance-era executioner, based on the man's own journal. - Episode Thirteen, Craig DiLouiefor novels, i generally prefer reading over listening—but the audiobook production of this was so much fun. with multiple voice actors and its sparing usage of sound effects, it plays like a great radio drama.
@NoelBWrites perfectly described this as "entry level house of leaves"—it's also the closest a book can get to a found footage film. the character work is particularly strong.
Horror. Follows the production and filming of a single episode of Fade to Black, a ghost hunting reality TV show, told through video transcripts, journal entries, and correspondence.
